The deceased was identified as Musa Mohammad Rosdi, 30, from Kampung Beradek near Kota Samarahan.
It is said that his car hit the central road divider around 5am before spinning several times and landing in a drain, causing the driver head injuries.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Firefighters were called to the scene to extricate his body from the wreckage.
According to the victim’s brother, Musa lived with him in Demak and worked at Jalan Muara Tuang. “He is a supervisor at a construction site and went out around 4am because he said there were some pending work he needed to settle at his office,” said the brother.
Musa’s body was sent to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for a postmortem.
